Snap-a-Meme Terms of Service

Welcome to Snap‑a‑Meme (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our mobile app (“App”) and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance and Updates
1.1 By using the App, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to specific features (e.g., In-App Purchases, Contests). 1.2 We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
2.1 You must be at least 12 years old to use the App. 2.2 If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. 2.3 We do not knowingly collect data from children under applicable ages. Accounts found to be in violation will be terminated immediately.
3. Account & Security
3.1 You may register via email or a supported third-party service (e.g., Apple, Google). You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. 3.2 You agree to keep your login credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at support@snapameme.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. User Content & The Community Feed
4.1 Ownership: You retain ownership of the images, text, and media you upload or create (“User Content”). 4.2 License to Us: By creating memes or posting to the Community Feed, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content within the App and for marketing purposes related to the App. 4.3 Public Feed: Content submitted to the “Community Feed” is public. You acknowledge that other users may view, like, and share your content. 4.4 AI Generation: The App uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate captions. You understand that AI responses may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or offensive. You agree that you are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before saving or sharing it.
5. Acceptable Use & Objectionable Content
5.1 Zero Tolerance Policy: We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You strictly may not upload, generate, or share content that:
Is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, or obscene.
Contains hate speech, racial or ethnic slurs, or promotes violence.
Contains sexual content, nudity, or pornography.
Infringes on the copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of others.
Promotes illegal acts or spam.
5.2 Reporting & Removal:
Users can flag objectionable content via the in-app “Report” button.
We employ both AI filtering and human moderation to review content.
We reserve the right to remove any content at any time, for any reason, without notice.
Violators of this policy will have their accounts suspended or permanently banned.
6. Subscriptions, Credits & Virtual Items
6.1 Pro League Subscription:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID/Google Play account.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s Account Settings.
Unused credits from the subscription [do/do not] roll over to the next month (Pick one logic: usually “do not” for monthly allowances, or “do” if you want to be generous).
6.2 Credit Packs (One-Time):
Credit Packs (e.g., “Starter”, “Creator”) are one-time purchases that add a fixed amount of credits to your balance.
They do not expire as long as your account is active.
6.3 Virtual Items (XP, Streaks, Credits):
Credits, XP, and Streaks are virtual currency/items with no real-world monetary value.
They cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded, or transferred to other accounts.
We reserve the right to modify the pricing, availability, or value of virtual items at any time.
6.4 Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by law or the policies of the Apple App Store / Google Play Store.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 The App, its code, design, logos, and original assets are the property of Snap-a-Meme. 7.2 You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the App’s source code or proprietary assets.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
8.1 “As-Is” Service: The App and AI features are provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will always be safe, secure, or error-free. 8.2 Liability Limit: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snap-a-Meme shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Snap-a-Meme harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, unless prohibited by local mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence (e.g., EU, UK, US).
